Enjoy A Fall Weekend with a Visit to Spoiled Dog Winery

I met Karen and Jack Krug, the owners of the Spoiled Dog Winery, in September  2002.  They were visiting Whidbey Island, and were at that time living in Colorado.  They had spent vacations on Whidbey in the past, and felt it might be the place to make their permanent home.  A fortunate thing for me, they found me on the web, and asked me to be their Realtor.

Sometimes we are lucky, and good things happen at the right time. This was one of those.  We found this wonderful piece of land with a house that was crying out for some love that had just come back on the market that day . The Krugs immediately knew it was the right place, so we made an offer and it was accepted.  After a time, which seemed like years to the Krugs, they became the owners and caretakers of  this property in the Maxwelton Valley. It has taken patience, love and grit to make it the incredible place it is today.

There is an entertaining video on their website that tells you about the vineyard, the winery, the wine dinners, and  their beloved dogs who the place is named for.  The Krugs are now great friends of mine, and wine is something we do enjoy together.  If you haven’t been to the Spoiled Dog Winery, now is a stunning time of year to go.   Just about any Saturday or Sunday stop by and taste the wines, enjoy the views and get to know Karen and Jack at Spoiled Dog  Winery.
